Richard Harvey Elgood

24th Feb 1945 - 9th March 2024 

Dad sadly passed away peacefully in Sue Ryder Hospice on the 9th March. He was much loved by all his family and friends and touched the hearts of everyone he met. He lived his life with energy and had a great sense of humour which was evident right up to
the very end. 
He made many people smile including all the nurses and carers at the hospice. He will be fondly remembered by all.
As a family we are so very grateful to Sue Ryder who provided invaluable support in the final weeks of his illness both at home and in the hospice. He was beautifully cared for and treated with much dignity and respect. This provided much comfort to the family 
We are having a private funeral but it is hoped to have a larger gathering in the summer in his beloved Beaufort Gardens for games and a celebration of his life.
We would very much like to continue to support Sue Ryder so any donations will be greatly appreciated.
